A Democratic Senator has a message for Donald Trump after the GOP presidential candidate’s latest call for violence against Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump told his deplorable supporters, “I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons – they should disarm. I think they should disarm immediately, what do you think, yes? Take their guns away, she doesn’t want guns. Take their guns away, Let’s see what happens to her.”
“OK,” Donald continued, adding, “it would be very dangerous.” Naturally, Donald’s supporters cheered at the notion of an act of violence against Clinton.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) took to his Twitter account to warn Donald about a little thing called consequences. Most of us learned what that big word means when we were kids but Donald needs a little help.
“Hey @realDonaldTrump, if you keep suggesting your supporters kill @HillaryClinton, someone will listen. The blood will be on your hands,” Murphy tweeted to Trump.

Former Rep. Gabby Giffords — the victim of a mass shooting in 2011 — also weighed in. Giffords said Trump’s comments prove he is “reckless, irresponsible and unworthy of the office he seeks, according to The Hill.
Giffords also took to her Twitter account. She called him “dangerously unfit.”
“Tonight we saw yet again just how unfit @realDonalTrump is to be president,” she tweeted, along with a message calling on Trump to apologize.

In August, Trump suggested that “Second Amendment people” could stop Hillary Clinton from nominating Supreme Court justices if she’s elected. Murphy responded to that outrageously dangerous remark by saying it qualified as an assassination threat and called for a Secret Service investigation.
Trump’s supporters simply do not care. They cheer after his calls for violence. In late January, Donald said at a rally, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”
He has called for violence against his opponent and he has not lost support. That’s just deplorable.
