One of the NRA’s mythical “responsible gun owners” (that is, quite literally anyone with a gun up to the moment that they do something stupid or shoot up a strip mall) decided to help a bunch of kids become “responsible gun owners” too. Sure, he was drunk — but his dedication to creating more “good guys with guns” was so strong, so unwavering, that a little intoxication wasn’t going to stop him. And sure, he wasn’t even carrying his gun responsibly — it was shoved in his pants — but that little detail doesn’t matter because people need to learn this stuff, dammit!
According to a police report, Schmuck was standing in front of the Quick Stop Deli when some unpatriotic, America-hating bozo who hates freedom ruined the fun by calling police to report that he was practicing his Second Amendment right to be a dumbass. Schmuck, who is described in the report as “highly intoxicated” and is not licensed to carry a handgun (a ‘problem’ that would be easily solved with a “Constitutional Carry” bill like the one West Virginia recently adopted) had approached two teenagers, removed the gun from his pants, and was “attempting to provide gun safety instructions” to the kids when police arrived. He then tried to shove the .45 caliber Glock back in his pants to hide it from the cops.
At one point, a live round was in the chamber of the gun — but not to worry, he obviously knows what he’s doing.
He was charged with weapons violations, reckless endangerment, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct because Obama wants to take his guns or something.
