On Wednesday yet another of those vile, untrustworthy Democrats was arrested for voter fraud after — oh, it was a Republican? Nothing to see here, move along.
Yes, another of those pillars of morality was caught falsifying voter registration forms while registering voters before the June 14 Nevada primary. Tina Marie Parks was working for conservative outreach group Engage Nevada at the time that she decided to just start registering Democrats as “nonpartisan” or “Republican.” An investigation conducted by the state’s Election Integrity Task Force after numerous voters had complained found that Parks had filled out applications but switched party affiliations.
In two cases, Parks had marked Democrats’ party as Republican. One was changed to nonpartisan. All three told investigators they wanted to register as Democrats. Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske urges voters in Pahrump who recently registered to check the agency’s website to ensure that they were registered properly. Her actions prevented at least one person from voting in the primary. The complaint also accuses her of trying to register herself despite multiple prior felony convictions and does not have the right to vote (though ironically, Democrats are trying to help her with that problem).
“Protecting an elector’s right to vote and enforcing state election laws are some of the most important duties of the secretary of state,” Cegavske said in a statement regarding this latest case of Republican voter fraud.
Parks was charged with four counts of perjury for allegedly signing four registration forms attesting she has had no felony convictions or loss of civil rights that would prevent her from voting, as well as two counts of attempted intimidation of voters, a count of intimidation of voters, three counts of acts concerning registration of voters for allegedly falsifying registrations; and one count of prohibited acts of employees of voter registration agencies.
Her bail was listed at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
Republicans across the nation are trying to make it more difficult for African-Americans, the poor, and other demographics likely to vote for anything but the Party of Hate, to vote. They swear fraud related to elections is rampant — but it likely just looks that way because they’re the ones doing it.
