Unlike millions of Americans, including Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump avoided paying federal income taxes for nearly 20 years. And Harry Reid just buried him for it.
As the New York Times reported on Saturday, the Republican nominee lost nearly $1 billion in 1995 despite calling himself a great businessman, so he wrote it off on his taxes and gained the ability to not pay taxes for almost two decades even though he has made hundreds of millions of dollars a year ever since.
Well, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid refused to let that slide on Sunday and released a statement that will leave burns on Trump’s orange ass.
“Trump is a billion-dollar loser who won’t release his taxes because they’ll expose him as a spoiled, rich brat who lost the millions he inherited from his father,” Reid said.
“Despite losing a billion dollars, Trump wants to reward himself with more tax breaks on inherited wealth while stiffing middle-class families who earn their paychecks with hard work. Trump is over-leveraged and deeply indebted to someone, but until he releases his taxes we won’t know who. Let’s step back and take stock: Senate Republicans have put party so far ahead of country, they’ve endorsed a racist, incompetent failure who managed to lose a billion dollars in a boom year. Now they are helping Trump hide his tax returns and preventing the American people from knowing what individuals, businesses or foreign interests could have leverage over Trump.”
The best word to describe this is ‘BOOM!’ The Nevada Democrat just obliterated Donald Trump in a single statement. All of the small hands in the world aren’t enough to cover the burn marks left in the wake of this roasting.
Now we just have to grab our popcorn and wait for Donald Trump to throw a giant hissy fit. Because the truth hurts, and no one hates the truth more than Donald Trump.
