As we speak, Alabama Senator Jefferson Beauregard “Jeff” Sessions III is in the process of his hearing to be confirmed as the next United States Attorney General. This is highly problematic, considering that Sessions’ history of bigotry and open racism is so great that he was considered too racist to be confirmed as a federal judge in 1986. Despite all of this, Team Trump has charged ahead with the Sessions nomination.
Well, the general public is NOT going to let Sessions ascend to the office of America’s chief law enforcement office without a fight. During the hearing, hecklers charged in, dressed in Ku Klux Klan garb, reminding everyone of Sessions’ appalling and troubling history of being a flaming racist and using his power as Alabama’s Attorney General to go after African Americans. The hecklers shouted, as Capitol police charged in:
“You can’t arrest me. I’m white!”
This is a reference to how people like Sessions routinely apply the law differently to white people than they do to minorities. The protesters also wore giant fingers that read, “Go, Jeffie boy!”
We can likely expect more of this throughout this hearing and beyond. Jeff Sessions is a bigot, and in America bigots should not be anywhere near lawmaking, and certainly should not be enforcing any laws.

Well done, guys. Let your voices be heard, and let everyone know who this man is, and why he is such a disturbing choice for Attorney General of the United States.
