When Hillary Clinton spoke at the LGBT for Hillary Gala in New York City Friday night, she said only “half” of Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables.”
Clinton said that half of Trump’s supporters were “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic.” Since then, some of Donald’s supporters have referred to themselves as one of the deplorables. Meaning, they are admitting that they are one of the racist, sexist, etc, that Hillary was referring to.
Hillary described the other half of Donald’s supporters as people who are looking for change in any form because of economic anxiety and urged her supporters to empathize with them, but that part of her remarks has barely been mentioned in the media.
But this Trump supporter, like others, proudly sees himself as one of the deplorables. His t-shirt literally says, “I’m Deplorable.”

At that same rally in Asheville, North Carolina, a man grabbed a protester by the throat then smacked him. That same man went on to try to try to assault a female protester.
The Washington Post reports:
Republican Mitt Romney won 61 percent of those who expressed negative stereotypes. And, when the question was asked during the 2008 primaries, those with negative racial stereotypes consistently favored Republican candidates — any of them — over any Democratic candidate in hypothetical matchups.
Republicans released a 100 page ‘autopsy report’ on their party in 2012 but instead of reviving the body, they decided to let it rot.
A good portion of the autopsy report was about encouraging Republicans to reach out to black, Hispanic, and Asian, American voters in their own communities. They did the math. Republicans need more than the support of angry white people to win. That sound advice has been ignored for 4 years now. At the very last minute, in the eleventh hour, it’s dawning on some of them that maybe they should have heeded that advice. The ones who admit there’s a problem are the Republicans and conservatives speaking out against Trump.
Meanwhile, Mr. Deplorable at the rally in Asheville is smiling while wearing an ‘I’m Deplorable’ t-shirt.
