For over a year, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been running on a platform made up almost entirely of hate. The billionaire is so vile and the news so frequently negative that it is almost as if America has become desensitized. Many people, usually white but not always, have began acting as if racism is not a serious problem in this. These people joke around about it, blame political correctness and act in overall ignorant manner. That ignorance is what has caused two Tampa Bay area schools to erupt in racism this week.
Three teens, who attend Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel, Florida, decided their KKK outfits were appropriate for a school spirit event on Thursday. Each day of the week the students at the school were encouraged to dress up to match the day’s theme and that day’s theme was characters. While most kids chose to dress up as actors or superheroes, these three geniuses decided to dress as super-racists.
Students reported the group to administrators after seeing them on school grounds, but when the admins pulled the boys –two Hispanic and one Arabic– out of class to speak to them they were no longer wearing their pointy hoods and white sheets. Pasco County School District spokeswoman Linda Cobbe said the teens originally claimed they were just dressed as innocent ghosts, but photos of the three proved that to be bullshit:
The students now face one to ten days of suspension for their stupidity. What’s worse is that this wasn’t the only racist incident related to school spirit week at a Tampa Bay area school this week. About 45 minutes south of Wesley Chapel in Bradenton, Florida a Black Lives Matter group held peaceful protests at Manatee High School after students brought a Confederate flag with “Trump 2016” scrawled across it to school for a school pride event.

One mother, Key Fitch, said her son, a freshman at Manatee High was hit in the head with a Trump 2016 sign. Another parent, Tikisha Gobourne, said,”This morning, I felt like I was sending my children onto a battlefield.”
This is what Trump is doing to America. Even kids are not exempt from the hatred he peddles.
