Trump claims he is the “law and order” candidate but he just violated a federal law that could put him behind bars until after Hillary finishes her first term as president.
On Tuesday, the Republican nominee once again ran his mouth and literally suggested that right-wing gun nuts should assassinate Hillary and any judicial nominees she picks for the Supreme Court.
“Hillary wants to abolish—essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump said in North Carolina during a rally. “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although the Second Amendment people—maybe there is, I don’t know.”
In short, Trump just incited violence against the wife of a former president and his Democratic opponent. And the Secret Service, who are assigned to protect Hillary, was forced to respond to the very man they are also tasked with protecting right now, something that is completely unprecedented.
The Secret Service is aware of the comments made earlier this afternoon.

This has NEVER happened in the history of the Secret Service. But it did on Tuesday. And Donald trump could very well be going from the penthouse to the big house because what he just did is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
According to 18 U.S. Code § 879,
Whoever knowingly and willfully threatens to kill, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon—
(1) a former President or a member of the immediate family of a former President;
(2) a member of the immediate family of the President, the President-elect, the Vice President, or the Vice President-elect;
(3) a major candidate for the office of President or Vice President, or a member of the immediate family of such candidate; or
(4) a person protected by the Secret Service under section 3056(a)(6);
shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
Trump did exactly this by calling for gun owners to shoot and kill Hillary Clinton.
The Secret Service should arrest Trump right now for breaking the law. He should not be allowed to get away with this. If Hillary Clinton had said this about Trump conservatives would be screaming bloody murder.
The law is clear. Threatening a former First Lady with death or bodily harm is a felony offense and it cannot be ignored.
