Donald J. Trump won’t release his tax returns and many people believe it’s because they would reveal his alleged ties to Russia. We’re not saying that, but some people are. Believe me. Slate reported on a group of computer scientists who stumbled upon evidence possibly connecting a Donald Trump server to a separate server belonging to Russia’s Alfa Bank.
On top of that, the FBI has been conducting an inquiry into Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort’s foreign business connections.
But, FBI director James Comey released a vague and bizarre letter to Congress which totally wasn’t meant to interfere with the election process (wink wink).
It comes as no surprise that in 2013, Trump revealed his bromance with Vladimir Putin.
“Do you think Putin will be going to The Miss Universe Pageant in November in Moscow – if so, will he become my new best friend?” the reality show star now turned GOP presidential nominee tweeted.

The computer expert who spoke to Slate found that the Alfa Bank, a Moscow-based financial institution whose leaders have ties to Vladimir Putin, had a server that was “irregularly pinging” a server registered to the Trump Organization based in New York.
“The logs suggested that Trump and Alfa had configured something like a digital hotline connecting the two entities, shutting out the rest of the world, and designed to obscure its own existence,” Franklin Foer reported on Slate.
David Corn on Mother Jones revealed that a former spy told the FBI of a Russian operation hoping to help get Trump elected.
The unnamed former spy took the steps of forwarding several memos to the bureau. Some of them referred to members of Trump’s inner circle. “It’s quite clear there was or is a pretty substantial inquiry going on,” he said.
“This is something of huge significance, way above party politics,” the former intelligence officer said. “I think [Trump’s] own party should be aware of this stuff as well.”
