Donald Trump has said some incredibly stupid things in the past. He’s probably saying some incredibly stupid people things right now, in the present. He will certainly say some ridiculously stupid things in the future. He’s Donald Trump — stupid is what he does best.
At a campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina on Monday, Donald Trump said something so stupid that it rivals some of his more stupid policy ideas. While being stupid and talking about Supreme Court justices, Trump went full stupid and suggested that “second amendment people do something monumentally stupid if Hillary Clinton gets the chance to nominate Supreme Court justices:
Betcha thought the title was an exaggeration, didn’t you? Nope. Trump didn’t do the customary wink and nod, finger gun, leave a dead fish in a newspaper type of threat, he actually came out and said it.
Unless, of course, you’re under the impression that having the “second amendment people” do something about it means something other than guns being used to stop the President of the United States from fulfilling her constitutionally mandated job description.
It couldn’t have been clearer. Donald Trump, a known narcissist and most likely sociopath, cares about nothing but his “reputation.” Hillary Clinton is currently making a fool of him, or rather, she’s enjoying allowing him to make a fool of herself. We’ll see how many points this latest guffaw costs him among the moderates who are just now getting into the race for the downhill run to November.
