If you’ve been brushing up on your 1930s German history lately because you’re experiencing an intense case of Déjà Vu during this election season, here’s another eerie blast from the past rising in our time — meet a budding group called the “Trump Youth.”
Seemingly inspired by Adolf Hitler’s “Hitler Youth,” the group’s founder, Jayme Louis Liardi, is a Hitler apologist who speaks of overthrowing unspecified parasites, and specifically “globalists.” Liardi’s vague website encourages young voters to sign up as Trump Youth and “[e]mbrace your destiny and become a part of the greatest battle the world has ever seen.”
On the website, the applicant must provide the following to be vetted before being accepted:
The website goes on to say:
History is made by men of action. We Millennials are destined for greatness; no longer will we sit idle and watch everything our forefathers built be turned to dust. Our world is hurting, and it is up to us, the Youth, to become the Hero Generation and to save the world.”
Liardi, dressed in a tan shirt and brown tie, styled similarly to the outfits worn by Hitler Youth, says in a video promotion of the group:
Our nations have been commandeered international criminal cartel and this parasite is feeding on our energy. It’s in Japan, it’s in China, it’s in Germany, it’s in America — now, if we don’t throw this parasite off our backs, the world will fall into chaos.”
Liardi says he never truly understood the German dictator and mass murderer until he read Mein Kampf, saying on his personal website:
I quickly realized that I was not being given all of the facts–that what passes for history is merely rehashed propaganda from the war.”
After reading Mein Kampf, Liardi says he spent a year reading, studying and thinking about the world today. He released a documentary on YouTube called “Hitler Uncensored” in January 2016, which attempts (poorly) to cast the murderous dictator in a more pleasant light and a victim of victor’s propaganda.
The conclusion he came to after all this hard thought was that our world today boils down to a struggle between nationalism and globalism and communism/capitalism vs. Nazism (emphasis mine):
This is the world of capitalism/communism. The world of cheap Chinese imports for the rich and a life of perpetual wage slavery for the poor. The world of uninspiring ‘modern’ art and architecture. The world of mindless consumerism and atheistical materialism. The world of blind ‘equality’: All races, cultures and ethnicities are the same, the sexes are the same, each individual is essentially the same. In our sameness, in our equality we are all one homogenous goop, rootless and without an identity, able to be exploited by the tyrants, our alleged representatives that we have in power today. If you have no identity, one will be installed into you by the kosher forces of The State. “
Despite the group’s name, there is very little outward reference of Donald Trump on the websites. But a recent video on Liardi’s YouTube channel does reference the “movement” Trump has created and the next natural step being a group of millennials inspired by Trump taking action “to save the world.”
Liardi isn’t the only Hitler fanboy who has taken an intense liking to Trump. Forward notes the GOP candidate has an endorsement from the American Nazi Party as well as the endorsement of the former KKK Grand Wizard, David Duke. Throughout the election, we’ve seen White Nationalists flocking to Trump’s rallies and White Supremacists singing his praises as well as bigots, racists, and xenophobes of all stripe.
Now we have the Trump Youth.
