Republicans are so desperate to defeat Hillary Clinton that they are claiming that she has brain damage. But Joy Reid and Newsweek reporter Kurt Eichenwald took them to the woodshed for it.
On Sunday morning, Eichenwald joined Reid to destroy Trump puppets Rudy Giuliani and Sean Hannity for pushing their unqualified medical diagnoses of Hillary’s health.
Earlier this month, the Fox News host viewed a video of the Democratic nominee being playful while being pulled in different directions by reporters. But Hannity used the footage to push the bullshit claim that she was having seizures and therefore must have a brain injury that disqualifies her for the presidency.
Eichenwald, who suffers from epilepsy, destroyed Hannity in a column by explaining to him what real seizure victims go through.
“Fuck you, Sean,” Eichenwald wrote.
People do not smile during a seizure while standing upright and then immediately launch into a coherent sentence. There’s no smiling because, if for some reason the person experiencing the seizure has not collapsed to the ground in unconsciousness, the moment the body begins to move uncontrollably is terrifying. After a seizure, someone does not instantly jump back into a conversation, making jokes.
Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani, who now spends his time forgetting 9/11 and being a total prick, has followed Hannity’s lead and repeated the charge that Hillary has brain damage.
Reid played footage of Hannity diagnosing Hillary and then asked Eichenwald to respond.
“I make of it that they’re a bunch of amoral sociopaths,” he said. “It’s the kind of thing you’d expect to hear about in the late 19th century. These people owe an enormous apology.”
Eichenwald slammed Hannity for being a college drop-out who is not qualified to even speculate on a person’s medical status.
Reid then played a clip of Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson actually trying to name what condition Hillary has, claiming she suffers from “dysphasia.” Of course, this is the same woman who blamed President Obama for the war in Afghanistan and for the death of Captain Humayun Khan in Iraq in 2004, both of which occurred years before Obama was first elected to the presidency.
“Doctor Katrina Pierson, there, attempting to make a diagnosis,” Reid quipped.
“I think it’s a sign of desperation and I think it’s a sign of what kind of despicable people we’re dealing with here,” Eichenwald added.

As Eichenwald wrote in his column, Hannity should apologize or prepare to “burn in hell” for insulting people who really suffer from seizures.
This attack on Hillary Clinton is completely unfounded and is a desperation play in response to Trump’s imploding campaign. Hannity, Giuliani, and Trump’s team of goons should all be ashamed of themselves and none of them should ever be allowed to be on the airwaves ever again. Freedom of speech does not give anyone the right to mislead the American public the way these people have over the last year.
