Ohhhhh Meghan McCain. We had such high hopes for her when she declared that climate change is real, abortion should stay legal, gay people deserved the same rights as the rest of us and gun control wouldn’t be such a bad thing, but she’s gone and destroyed our hopes that she’d be a smart conservative.
During a recent appearance on Fox News’ The Five, McCain — daughter of Arizona Senator John McCain — went full imbecile while defending Donald Trump’s recent controversies:
When Donald Trump says things, it offends people sometimes and it can be controversial, but when Hillary makes mistakes, people die.
She went on to give an example of Hillary Clinton murderous and neglectful ways by citing the recent execution of Iranian nuclear scientist Shahram Amir. She claims that “his name was released” in Clinton’s emails And this is how you know that she is a complete fool.
First of all, Donald Trump has never been Secretary of State or a Senator, while he may imagine himself in such places of power he has never had an actual REAL power. So, of course, he has never had the lives of other people in his hands. Being that he has never held such a position this comparison makes zero sense.
Hillary Clinton is not to blame for Amir’s execution, he is. The scientist was paid millions of dollars by the U.S. government to give intel about his country’s nuclear program. Then one day he claimed that the U.S. had kidnapped him in order to protect himself from the wrath of his government. He left the U.S., went back to Iran and pretended that he was a hero until he was arrested by his government and eventually executed. His name was not “released” in her emails. The Iranian government arrested him SIX years ago, long before the email “scandal.” Does it suck that someone was killed for helping our country? Absolutely. Is Hillary Clinton responsible for his death? No.
Furthermore, when Donald Trump stands in front of thousands of people, spews hate speech and those people go out and hurt other people, that isn’t just offensive, it’s dangerous. Time and again we have witnessed Americans being brutalized during the Republican presidential candidate’s rallies and heard stories of his fans taking their violence to the streets. Muslims, immigrants, African-Americans and women have all been hurt as a result of Trump’s actions– can you imagine what would happen if he was in the most powerful position in the world?
McCain, like most of the people in her party, have abandoned all common sense in order to defend their presidential candidate and it is almost painful to watch.
