Donald Trump’s effort to suppress the votes of Hispanics who waited in line before early voting ended in the state did not go very well.
In fact, the Republican nominee’s lawyer was treated like a little boy being called into the principal’s office by the Nevada judge overseeing the case.
Not only does Trump want ALL of the votes that were cast after 7pm thrown out, which would suppress the votes of hundreds of Hispanic voters who got in line before the polls closed, he also wants the names of the poll workers so he can unleash his army of supporters against them.
But Clark County judge Gloria Sturman is having none of it.
“What are you saying? Why are we here? You want to preserve the poll data? That is offensive to me. Why don’t we wait to see if the secretary of state wants to do this?” she said.
And then she ripped Trump’s attorney a new one for demanding the release of the names of poll workers.
“I am not going to expose people doing their civic duty helping their fellow citizens vote, that they are taking their personal time to preserve … to public attention, ridicule, and harassment,” Sturman said, lecturing Trump’s attorney about the fact that these poll workers would be exposed to constant harassment by Trump’s supporters even though they did nothing wrong and were only following Nevada law.
She then ordered him to sit his ass down.
“Thank you, sit down.”

Nevada law says that if people are still in line when the polling place closes they are legally allowed to vote. Trump and his racist campaign contend that the polling place should have closed immediately and not allowed anyone else to vote because Trump claims they got in line after the polling place had already closed.
Clark County is a major Democratic stronghold that includes Las Vegas and a substantial Hispanic population. In fact, the polling place Trump is targeting was in a Hispanic neighborhood.
By targeting this polling place, Trump is clearly trying to suppress Hispanic votes because he knows they are more likely to vote for Hillary Clinton.
According to Vanity Fair,
Onstage at a rally on Saturday in Reno, McDonald thundered, “Last night in Clark County, they kept a poll open till 10 o’clock so that a certain group could vote.” That “certain group” is doubtless a reference to Latinos, who reportedly turned out in droves to vote early for Clinton. (Preliminary numbers show Clark County—which represents about 70 percent of the vote in the state—is likely to deliver a sizable win for the Democratic candidate.) When Trump later took the stage, he cried foul too. “It’s being reported that certain key Democratic polling locations in Clark County were kept open for hours and hours beyond closing time to bus and bring democratic voters in,” he said. “Folks, it’s a rigged system. It’s a rigged system and we’re going to beat it. We’re going to beat it.”
Tell it to the judge, Mr. Trump. Because right now, she doesn’t give a shit about your bullying tactics and lies.
