Scott Baio thought he would be clever and deliver a speech on night one of the Republican National Convention. In reality, he only proved how stupid he was. However, the thing that was even more stupid was the following interview he did with MSNBC on the next day.
To say he got completely owned would probably be a bit of an understatement. It all started off pretty normal but quickly turned into a disaster for Scott.
Tamron Hall started pushing Scott on his bragging up of his religious habits. The context was clearly that he depicted himself as a moral Christian, yet he has engaged in some severely sexist and offensive behavior in just the recent past.
Tamron brought up a Tweet Scott posted on July 10th, which was a photo calling Hillary Clinton the “C-word.”
A capture of Scott’s tweet is below:
Tamron asked Scott if he thought about this picture when he was in church, and where was his moral compass when he posted it. Scott’s response … well, it was just sad and pathetic.
He said he offered it without commentary (except for “This may be the best meme out there.) And said it was the word “Count.” Riiiiiight. He also actually suggested that Tamron questioning his faith and morals was “not nice,” as he put it.
Tamron then pushed Scott further on a tweet he sent out about Michelle Obama back in 2010.
The image of that one is below:
That’s when the funniest part of the interview happened. Tamron said she wanted to go onto Scott’s Twitter to see what he was saying about his RNC speech, but she found out that he blocked her.
The look on his face when she told him is priceless:
A panicked and confused Scott got VERY flustered and shouted that he doesn’t block anyone because he isn’t afraid of anyone. He’s such a liar.
Scott then knee-jerked and insisted it had to be a mistake, and he’d unblock her. Tamron continued to push Scott on his inappropriate social media activity, and how he keeps talking about morals while he insults women in such vulgar and degrading ways.
Mercifully, a commercial break ended the interview at that time. Needless to say, Scott won’t be getting new work anytime soon, unless it’s as a Fox News contributor. I’m sure he will improve their anti-woman reputation.
