Donald Trump doesn’t have a self-deprecating bone in his body. Everything has to be about him.
And that was the case on Thursday night as the Republican nominee praised the courage of a group of Medal of Honor recipients by comparing their bravery to his own.
“Oh, they’re so much more brave than me. I wouldn’t have done what they did,” Trump began.
And it’s true. Donald Trump did not do what these men did for their country because he dodged the draft during the Vietnam War by getting a series of deferments for school and one for a bone spur in his foot, which is suspicious considering he was considered fit for duty at one point and was a stellar athlete.
In other words, Trump is a coward whose daddy helped him get out of going to war.
But, of course, Trump couldn’t say those things about our courageous troops without trying to make himself look better than them. “I’m brave in other ways,” Trump said. “I’m brave. I’m financially brave. Big deal, right? These are real brave.”

Donald Trump is so egotistical that he couldn’t even praise the valor and heroism of our troops without trying to make himself look like he is somehow better than them.
He should have stopped talking after his second sentence but he just couldn’t keep his mouth shut.
This is just like when Trump said that his womanizing was his “personal Vietnam” because he used to sleep around without using protection.
It was an insult to those who fought for our country then, and it’s an insult now. Donald Trump should be ashamed of himself.
